The Bethlehem skyline can be seen in the distance, including the Church of the Nativity in the centre of the photograph. Nearer to the riders, on the right-hand side, can be seen the dome of Rachel's Tomb and the Jacir Palace, constructed by Bethlehem mayor and merchant Suleiman Jacir in 1910-1913.
