This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the private collection of George Harb.

This photograph shows a contestant receiving an award at a beauty pageant, held in June in 1970. The woman being awarded the prize is wearing a maxi dress that is very indicative of the style of the period. Maxi dresses with trailing chiffon sleeves were very popular in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
