The images are a digital reproduction of a handwritten letter and accompanying translation donated by Kathy Sa'ade Kenny.

In this letter Jiryes Farhat asks Suleiman Farhat (Katrina Sa'ade's second husband) to send money to support the family in Ramallah, Palestine which had now grown to include Katrina since their move. Jiryes threatens to sell their best piece of land if Suleiman does not send money in order to uphold his honour and the family name. Suleiman was at the time living and working in California. Issa Farhat, Suleiman's nephew, scribes the letter and Katrina adds her signature.

These images exist as part of the Katrina Sa'ade Letters collection within the Katrina Sa'ade project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
