The images are a digital reproduction of a handwritten letter and accompanying translation donated by Kathy Sa'ade Kenny.

In this letter Jiryes Farhat informs his son Suleiman that his wife, Katrina Saade, has left from Palestine. Suleiman was living in California at the time. The letter describes the dramatic turn of events in which Katrina left the Farhat family home in Ramallah, taking their child Fred with her to seek refuge with her family in Bethlehem before organising her passage to the US. See 'relation' for a receipt of Katrina's telegram telling her husband she was coming home to the US. Issa Farhat scribes.

These images exist as part of the Katrina Sa'ade Letters collection within the Katrina Sa'ade project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
