The images are a digital reproduction of a handwritten letter and accompanying translation donated by Kathy Sa'ade Kenny.

In this letter Katrina Sa'ade writes to her husband Suleiman Farhat from Ramallah, Palestine. She had recently moved from California with her three youngest children Mary, Fred and George to live with Suleiman's family whilst he continued to live and work in California. Katrina notes how both she and the children were learning Arabic, hence her writing in Arabic instead of English. She writes that for the time being she has no news regarding future business opportunities in Palestine but will endeavour to find out more. She also references her health and need for money to pay for regular visits to the doctor since her bout of appendicitis which she was diagnosed with on the journey to Palestine.

These images exist as part of the Katrina Sa'ade Letters collection within the Katrina Sa'ade project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
