Talks about the Ottoman period and how the Ottomans used to steal food and wheat from local people to feed the army; discusses the great snow of 1920 which lasted for a whole month causing great difficulties and shortages of food; during the great snow people used to keep warm by buring wood fires; many houses in Bethlehem were ruined by the great snow such as that of Musa Khalil in the souq.
