Notes
The book is based on, and reports findings from a DFES funded project which provided new knowledge on routes into teaching for teaching assistants, before which, little was known. The book tackles practical issues faced by teaching assistants in relation to their training and especially supports their transitions into higher education, all of which is underpinned by the DfES research project. PD and AJ led on the research project and CR and JT were research assistants. All four authors had an input to the development of the book, each took responsibility for specific chapters: CR and JT were mainly responsible for sections 1 and 2; PD and AJ, mainly sections 3 and 4. The book proposal was refereed anonymously for Sage/Paul Chapman before being accepted.Full text available
