An audit of research teaching in the social work degree

This report was commissioned by the ESRC as part of its work with the Social Work academic to build capacity. The objective of the project was to provide high quality data on the current infrastructure for social work research in UK universities. This data will provide a baseline on which to build the work of the ESRC Strategic Advisor for Social Work. It also provides a commentary on assumptions made in the Joint University Council Social Work Education Committee (JUC SWEC) Research Strategy (2006). It will enable those involved in implementing the Strategy to re- assess the targets and focus future work.
