The images are a digital reproduction of a handwritten letter and accompanying translation donated by Kathy Sa'ade Kenny.

This is a fragment of a letter from Jiryes Farhat to his son Suleiman asking for money to pay a ploughman to plough their land in Ramallah, Palestine. Issa Farhat works as a scribe and also states that he is unhappy with the quality of pens Suleiman sent him. See 'relation' for another letter in which Issa asks Suleiman for new pens.

These images exist as part of the Katrina Sa'ade Letters collection within the Katrina Sa'ade project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
