The images are a digital reproduction of a handwritten letter and accompanying translation donated by Kathy Sa'ade Kenny.

In this letter Jiryes Farhat, pleads with his son Suleiman to return from America to the family farm in Ramallah, Palestine. Jiryes writes about Katrina Sa'ade and her family who he describes as greedy and of a low class. He references the 1927 earthquake in Palestine which hit Katrina's family home. Jiryes originally describes the earthquake in his 13 July 1927 letter: see 'relation.' At this stage Suleiman and Katrina Sa'ade were living in California, US with their children. Issa Farhat scribes and adds a note requesting both a Parker pen and a watch, criticising the quality of pens sent previously.

These images exist as part of the Katrina Sa'ade Letters collection within the Katrina Sa'ade project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
