This is a digital reproduction of an image held at the Library of Congress.

This photograph shows Bethlehem's Christmas bell and views of Bethlehem's surroundings in the distance. Although it is a religious tradition to ring church bells daily, bell ringing in Bethlehem is becoming less common. This has lead many Palestinians to attempt to keep the tradition alive.

This image exists as part of the Nativity Church collection within the Library of Congress project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
