This image is a digital reproduction of a document donated by William Victor Kattan.
The image depicts an extract from a tradesmark registration letter, written in French and issued in Cairo, Egypt. It is accompanied by an illustration drawn in red ink of train with Arabic writing above that reads "Khalil and Habib Kattan". This is an early example of the Kattan brothers' experimentation with logo designs. Many other similar materials in this collection date from the late 1920s and early 30s.
