This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the private collection of George Harb.

This photograph was taken at the wedding of George Harb's sister Widad and her husband George Hazboun in Bethlehem on 11 January 1953.

Widad's wedding dress is indicative of the style of the period, with a sweetheart neckline that was very popular in the late 1940s and early 1950s. George Harb and George Hazboun (both stood to the left of Widad) wear loose fitting suits with narrow ties, which would also indicate the transitional period between the 40s and 50s, as a more casual silhouette became more fashionable.

This image is part of the George Harb Photos collection within the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
