journal contribution
posted on 2023-06-08, 13:40 authored by Anthony S David, Ayana Gibbs, Maxine X PatelLong-acting injectable antipsychotic medication or depots are an important element in the treatment of schizophrenia. Before assessing the pros and cons of such treatment and determining whether it has a significant impact on outcome over and above oral medication, it may be useful to consider where the idea of depot injections came from. There is surely a history behind this idea though it appears that a full account of this has yet to be written.
