Social identity as a source of strength in mass emergencies and other crowd events
Social identity can act as a source of strength to its participants, provide exposure to mutual cooperation and coordination during an emergency in the crowd and be a source of personal development. Social identity may help in transforming a divided crowd into a collective group, which may be capable of fighting against any problems faced by the group, thus providing social and personal health benefits for the participants.
