Notes
DWY is corresponding author and directed the synthetic work. The work reports the first ubiquitin variants in which selected leucine residues in the hydrophobic core have been replaced by (2S,4S)-5-fluoroleucine residues. Protein X-ray crystallographic, 19F-NMR and biophysical methods were used to show that protein folding was unafected.Full text available
