The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated drastic changes in the way that anatomy was taught to students, with a shift to online learning. Students reported that this virtual learning methodology negatively impacted their confidence in the topic. Many institutions decided to continue with blended-learning methodologies as the pandemic restrictions eased, and there are valuable lessons we can learn from the pandemic period to ensure students are not left behind by virtual teaching approaches.
