This reports DfES-funded research on ways in which schools have responded to the personalised learning agenda. The research was collaborative between the Universities of Sussex, Cambridge and the Institute of Education. Sebba directed the project (Galton and James were co-PIs), was responsible for updating the literature, research design, data collection in 3 of the 13 schools and drafted the entire report using survey data from Cambridge. Impact thus far has included several national and international conference/seminar presentations, an interview with the Children's Commissioner for Teachers' TV and an invitation to present at a policy forum. The research informed a Sussex research bid to Becta on the learners' perspective in personalised learning which has been awarded.
