Lefevre led and was sole author of the Research Review, assessed by 3 SCIE assessors ('excellent; engaging, informative, refreshing; extremely useful'). This study was conducted to rigorous standards and is the only systematic review of evidence in the field so a major reference point substantially advancing knowledge and understanding of children with complex health needs. It is methodologically innovative in the: 1) collaboration with Triangle, a national user-led organisation responsible for the practice survey; 2) participation of disabled children as advisers. The Review has significant implications for policy and practice following the National Service Framework relating to disabled children.
