Students with specific learning difficulties/dyslexia in higher education: a research report

This report examines the needs & issues faced by students having Specific Learning Difficulties/Dyslexia (spLds) in Higher Education & considers the strategies required to respond to those needs within Goldsmiths College, University of London. The study, carried out between January & July 1994, comprised questionnaires to staff, in-depth interviews wih a small sample of students at Goldsmiths' & a survey of learning support provision made by other HE institutions in the UK. The study also examines recent research & finds no single definition of Dyslexia.
