Dr Yizhen Yan is a Research Fellow in the Department of Engineering and Design at the University of Sussex since 2024. He obtained his Ph.D. in June 2024 and his bachelor's degree in June 2018 from East China University of Science and Technology.
Dr Yan's research mainly focuses on the surface and corrosion science, exploring lignin and mussel adhesive proteins (MAP) as sustainable anti-corrosion agents for carbon steel. He also works on enhancing macro- and micromolecule crystallization using hydrogel and polymer materials.
