journal contribution
posted on 2023-06-07, 17:17 authored by N Galanidou, P C Tzedakis, I T Lawson, Mick FrogleyMick FrogleyNew AMS radiocarbon determinations for the Kastritsa lakeside camp, northwest Greece, and palynological and palaeolimnological evidence from an adjacent lake sediment core, place the record of human occupation at the site within a substantially different temporal and palaeoenvironmental framework than hitherto considered. The combined records suggest that human occupation commenced under a relatively mild interstadial climate c. 24,000 BP but intensified with the onset of more extreme environmental conditions.
